After months of work, here is the latest in my series about the mood and light that I experience working in the dunes around Herring Cove in Provincetown. I especially love those summer days when things start out peacefully and end with the drama of thunderstorms. In this painting I am trying to capture the brightness of the day along with the foreboding sense of the storm that will inevitably follow. This painting is 30×40 inches, oil on canvas.
